A direct Spanish translation of the comedy skit by Abbott and Costello.  An umpire and the director of athletics argue about the names and positions of the baseball players on the field.

A girl receives a pair of shoes for her birthday, loses them, and battles many suspected robbers for its return.

May 2002, “The Way Outside,” an original short story about a young man who employs the help of a corporation to find a social life he lost a few years ago and realizes that only he himself has the cure for his problem.  Position: writer.  Later translated into the Spanish-language short, “La Realidad Segura”(“The Sure Reality”).  Produced for personal reasons.

February 2002, “A CAMS Perspective,” a compilation of twenty photos of the buildings and temporary bungalows known as The California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS) in Carson, CA.  Position: photographer.  Selected photos were used in CAMS’ newspaper, “The Pulse” and simultaneously exhibited on the school’s website (http://www.cams.csudh.edu).

February 2002, “Fog Jackass,” Digital 8/VHS color video, 6 min.  Position: writer/director/editor/producer.  A parody of MTV’s show “Jackass” and the “dangerous” methods of using a special effects fog machine inspired by actual events.  Produced as a segment for a personal documentary.

October 2000, “A Net Gain in Hockey Equipment,” a five-page research paper about the evolution of hockey equipment, its enhanced protective abilities, and as a result, the creation of a faster and more dangerous hockey game.  Position: writer.  Written for course, “English 1A,” Santa Monica College/CAMS, Carson, CA.

June 2000, “A Separate Peace” VHS color video, 11 min.  Position: writer/director/editor/producer.  A summary of the John Knowles’ book of the same name put in the context of modern times.  Produced for course, “English 3-4,” California Academy of Mathematics and Science, Carson, CA.

April 2000, “How the Cat and Mouse Became Friends,” a children’s picture book about a cat, a dog, and a mouse and how they became friends.  Position: writer/illustrator.  Book was donated to the CSUDH Child Care Center, Carson CA.

March 2000, “The Digital Age: A Change…Would Do Us Good?”  A five-page research paper describing the effects of modern technology in communication and its importance in society from the point of view of a simulated Internet shortage.  Position: writer.  Written for the National History Day competition.  Winner of CAMS’ History Day essay division and represented school in essay division at the Los Angeles Regional competition at Occidental College, Los Angeles, CA.
